Madonna di Lourdes Church
This church in the Capoterra garden-suburbs of Poggio dei Pini was took ten years to build and was inaugurated by the Archbishop of Cagliari Ottorino Alberti in 1997. No expense was spared in its construction or decoration. The whole project was entrusted to the civil engineer Giorgio Diaz who, following his instructions, was to build a church which would recall the various phases of the construction of the Basilica of St. Sepulchre, in Jerusalem.
